Methodology

The project will include six phases:
  • first phase: a theoretical study and a literature review on issues related to the engineering of computer-based collaborative scripts in the educational and professional fields;
  • second phase: design of the engineering methodology starting from the theoretical framework, this should provide the correct procedure to implement UFIs, starting from generic VCBLAs designed in the educational context;
  • third phase: implementation of the engineering methodology;
  • fourth phase: experimentation of the UFIs and data collection with teachers and students in the local area. Participants will be asked to fill a questionnaire the “LIAQ” (Learning Interface Acceptance Questionnaire). The questionnaire will be developed modifying its previous versions used in other studies (Esposito et al., 2019) and developed inside the H2020 project Empathic (http://www.empathic-project.eu/);
  • fifth phase: data analysis, validation and possible redesign of the UFIs. Data analysis will be performed through the LIAQ questionnaire, which will help us to understand users’ assessment of the interface taking into account several aspects, as for example users’ willingness to interact with the interface, its easiness of use and pleasantness, feelings aroused by the interaction with the interface, and the interface ability to effectively engage the user;
  • sixth phase: papers and dissemination concerning project’s results.
