Regression Models

Illustrates assumption of data modeling: that each point is part signal ("model"), part noise. Here, the noise is Gaussian (to fit assumptions of linear regression), and the model can be any function. Points are sampled uniformly between the endpoints of the horizontal segment. Use the arrowhead on the vertical segment to scale the influence of the noise on each data point.
