This applet will help in facilitating the understanding of the connection between measure of an angle in a right triangle and the side lengths of a right triangle. Students can crete similar triangles by adjusting the slider a and are then directed to calculate the ratio of pairs of sides in the right triangle (for a given constant angle). Students can change the angle of a given triangle and generate a data set, showing how the relevant trig ratio (say the tangent ratio) changes as the angle changes
