5 Point Conic Construction

This project is designed for use in either a high school advanced Geometry or Pre-Calculus classroom or an undergraduate Geometry class. It demonstrates the construction of a conic section through 5 points (no 3 collinear) via the converse of Pascal's Theorem (also known as the Braikenridge-Maclaurin Construction). Students can manipulate the 5 points in order to construct the resultant conic. NOTE: this construction is mimicked by Geogebra's built-in "Conic through 5 Points" function.
