This applet is designed to allow students to generate a table of values for the half-chord, the half-chord of the complement, and the length of the tangent line using a slider to change the measure of the angle. With a table populated, the hope is that students can make a conjecture that allows them to define the tangent as the ratio of the sine to the cosine of a given angle.
The context is kept to the Unit Circle.
