AQR Section 12, Example 1: Which Coin Is the Fair Coin?

This exploration is designed to accompany Example 1 in Section 12. For the worksheet below, there are two lists recording the heads (H) or tails (T) results of 25 flips of two different coins. One coin is a fair coin, that is, the likelihood of flipping a heads is the same as flipping a tail. The other coin is biased, that is, the likelihood of flipping a head is different than flipping a tail. Study the results displayed in List 1 and List 2. Which list shows the results for the fair coin?
