Follow the instructions below to construct a locus

1. Plot a point C that lies on line d 2. Construct CF 3. Construct the perpendicular bisector of CF 4. Construct a line through C that is perpendicular to d 5. Mark the point of intersection between the lines you created in steps 3 and 4 6. Right click on that point and select Show Trace 7. Select the Move arrow and C along line d. What do you observe? 8. Construct a line FD 9. Measure and display the distances of FD and DC. What do you notice? 10. Drag C along d again. What do you notice about FD and DC? 11. What theorem justifies what you are seeing in steps 9 and 10? 12. How would you geometrically define the pink locus that you are observing in this applet? Be as specific as possible.
