Use the applet to practice plotting of linear, quadratic and simple non linear graphs, eg power functions of f(x) = a x^n, and exponential functions f(x) = k a^x Input the function to be plotted in the input box y = 3x+2 area in the applet. For the second function to compare, type in the 2nd function in the input area. Plot the following graphs y = 1/x & y = - 1/x ; y = 2/x & y = 3/x ; y= (x+2)(x-3) & y = (x-2)(x-3) ; y= -(x-2)(x+3) & y = (2-x)(x+3); y = 2(x-3)^2 -1 & y= 2(x+3)^2 + 1 y = -2- (x-4)^2 & y = 4-2(x+3)^2 ; y = 2x^2 & y = 2/x^2 ;y = 3/x^2 & y = - 3/x^2 ; y = x^3 & y = 1/x^3 ; y = 3x^3 & y = -3/x^3 y = 2^x & y = 5^x ; y = 3^(-x) & y = -(3^x)
