Height and Base of Triangles (31 Mar 26)

Instructions for constructing a triangle

Step 1: Select the Polygon tool → Click two points on one line, then one point on the other line, and click back to the first point to form a triangle. Step 2: Select the Perpendicular Line tool → Click the top vertex of the triangle → Then click the base line (bottom side of the triangle) Step 3: Select the Point tool → Click the intersection point where the perpendicular line meets the base → Make sure the point turns black (this means it is fixed correctly) Step 4: Hide the extra line → Right-click the perpendicular line → Uncheck “Show Object” Step 5: Select the Segment tool → Click the top vertex, then click the black point → This creates the height of the triangle Step 6: Select the Distance or Length tool → Click the base to see its length → Click the height to see its length Step 7: Select the Angle tool         → Click the top vertex, the black point and one point of the base → Click the angle, then click “Angle Between:”, followed by “0° to 180°
