Dilations Practice

Problem 1

Graph the image using coordinates A (-4, 4) B (4, 4) C (4, -4) D (-4, -4). Dilate the image using a scale factor of 2 and (0,0) as the center of dilation.

Problem 2

Graph the pre-image using coordinates A (0, -4) B (8, -4) C (8, -8) D (0, -8). Dilate the figure using a scale factor of 1/4and (0,0) as the center of dilation.

Problem 3

Graph the pre-image using coordinates A (-3, -3) B (-3, 3) C (2, 3) D (0, 2). Dilate the figure using a scale factor of 3 and (0,0) as the center of dilation.

Problem 4

Graph the pre-image using coordinates A (-4, -3) B (-2, -3) C (5, 4) D (3, 4). Dilate the figure using a scale factor of 2 and (0,0) as the center of dilation.

Problem 5

Graph the pre-image using coordinates A (-5, -10) B (-5, 10) C (0, -5) D (0, -10). Dilate the figure using a scale factor of 1/5 and (0,0) as the center of dilation.

Problem 6

Problem 7

Graph the pre-image using coordinates A (-2, 1) B (-2, 2) C (2, 2). Dilate the figure using a scale factor of 5 and (0,0) as the center of dilation.

Problem 8

Graph the pre-image using coordinates A (0, -3) B (3, 0) C (0, -3) D (-2, 0). Dilate the figure using a scale factor of 3 and (0,0) as the center of dilation.

Problem 9

Graph the pre-image using coordinates A (-5, -10) B (-5, 0) C (5, 0) D (5, -10). Dilate the figure using a scale factor of 1/5 and (0,0) as the center of dilation.

Problem 10

Graph the pre-image using coordinates A (-1, -2) B (0, -2) C (2, 1) D (-2, 1). Dilate the figure using a scale factor of 5 and (0,0) as the center of dilation.
