Prime Factorization
Instructions
Enter a whole number into the “Start Value” box whose prime factorization you want to find. A grid will be generated which follows the “division by primes” method. A yellow box indicates the current value to be entered. Enter in either a prime number (if the box is on the left) or the quotient (if the box is on the right) into the “Input” box.
You must enter the prime numbers in order, starting with the smallest possible prime.
If the correct prime number or quotient is entered, the box changes color to green, and the next box will change to yellow. After you have finished, a text object will be displayed showing the number’s prime factorization.
