June 2011 : This applet helps one visualize the CENTROID of the shaded area between the two semi-circles. The Area lies in the first quadrant. A green colored horizontal slider is provided to change the size of the radii. Correspondingly the co-ordinates of the CENTROID 'G' also change dynamically.
Q1 : Does the location of the Centroid depend on the radii of the two semi-circles ? Q2 : What changes in the co-ordinates of the centroid occur if , the Y axis were to pass through the centre of the larger circle ?
