Defining the Sine, Cosine, and Tangent

What are Sine, Cosine and Tangent of an Acute Angle?

Sine, cosine, and tangent (sin, cos, tan) are trigonometric functions used to calculate the relationships between angles and sides of a right triangle, allowing you to find missing sides or angles if you know at least one side and one angle within the right triangle. Essentially, they are ratios of different sides of a right triangle based on a given angle.
