Area- Description
Area is the amount of space inside the boundary of a flat (2-dimensional) object. To find the area of a shape you find its length and width (how long the shape goes up and down, and left and right ). Then you keep that value and take each line that makes up the shape and find it's "rise and run" or slope and multiply them together and then divide it by two. After you get those values you take the values you just got and subtract them from the whole shapes "rise and run" or the first value you found.
