Semicircles (a la Eduardo MacEntyre)

Saw a lovely piece full of symmetry from Eduardo MacEntyre and for some reason it go me thinking almost immediately about sequences of semicircles between two paths. I chose splines for the border, and added in optional circles and a reflection. What can you make?
