Limits example (PreCalc)

Drag the "lim" point to new locations. Drag the "X" point along the x-axis, observing what happens to the y value of f(x) as you approach the target value from both the left and right. Rather than dragging the "X" point, you may also select it and on a keyboard:
  • Arrow key left/right to move in increments of 0.01
  • Ctrl-arrow key left/right to move in increments of 0.1
  • Shift-arrow key left/right to move in increments of 0.001
On the default function with a removable discontinuity at x=6, click on the "hole" to toggle between f being defined and not defined at x=6.
