Steve Phelps
I have been at Madeira High School in Cincinnati OH for the past 28 years.
For 16 of these years I taught Geometry exclusively. During the past 9 years, I have taught everything from Algebra through Calculus, and am currently teaching AP Statistics, AP Computer Science Principles, and Advanced Quantitative Reasoning.
I have authored or co-authored over 20 articles focusing on the intelligent use of technology in mathematics education, and have presented close to 50 conference sessions on the use of dynamic mathematics and CAS (Computer Algebra Systems) in the teaching of all math content areas. I am a GeoGebra author and trainer, a Desmos Teaching Fellow, and a Teachers Teaching with Technology National Instructor.
I first stumbled upon GeoGebra in 2007, and have been teaching teachers how to use GeoGebra for the past 10 years by providing low-cost or no-cost GeoGebra PD for schools and districts across Ohio and the Midwest.
