Real World
To support a tree, you attach wires from the trunk of the tree to stakes in the ground as shown in the sketch above. The intention, in many cases, including the one shown, is to encourage the tree to grow straight. In order to do that the wires must exert equal force. To accomplish that equal force the wires must create congruent triangles on either side of the tree. What is the least amount of information you would need to ensure that the goal is successful, and how could you gather that information?
