STEPAM Handbook & Policy Paper
What is STEPAM?
STEPAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Physical Education, Arts, and Mathematics) is an interdisciplinary educational initiative that integrates Physical Education (PE) with the broader STEAM fields. It aims to foster the holistic development of students aged 7 to 14 by promoting active learning environments, where physical movement becomes a catalyst for cognitive, emotional, and social growth—not just an isolated subject.
STEPAM encourages educators to reimagine PE as a bridge to academic achievement, health, creativity, and community engagement. By aligning physical activities with conceptual learning and real-world problem-solving, STEPAM transforms schools into dynamic laboratories of movement, play, discovery, and inclusion.
