Description of the problem

While patrolling the Columbia River basin area. A Coast Guard helicopter (a twin-engine MH-60T) located at Point G had just flown out and picked up a gravely ill seaman on a cargo container ship and had to then meet another helicopter on a flight path along line FE to pick up an injured hiker, the helicopter was then bound for OHSU hospital in Portland.

Finding the Shortest distance

What point should the first helicopter fly to meet the second if it is going to intercept the shortest distance along the second helicopters flight path?

If the fuel capacity is 6300 lbs. of fuel and the consumption rate is 7.3 lbs./mile. Will it have enough fuel to safely ferry its passengers to OHSU hospital which is 95 miles away?
