We are currently looking for a talented UX designer who wants to join our dedicated team at our head offices in Linz, Austria or remotely in Central European Time +/-1 hour.

We’re looking for a passionate UX Designer who likes to solve problems for real people and make an impact on millions of users. All within the ever-important field of digital science education. At GeoGebra we are shaping the future of education for teachers and students all over the world.

What you will do

  • Creating intuitive user interfaces with the opportunity to significantly impact the experience of millions of users
  • Craft every detail of new product features, from idea to wireframes to pixel-perfect execution for a wide range of products across mobile, tablet and desktop
  • Develop and maintain our design library to ensure consistent experience across our products
  • Conduct various forms of user research and synthesizing the data to inform product decisions
  • Work closely with our development teams to concept, design, prototype and iterate on solutions in an agile environment

What we need from you

  • Experience with the full Product Design flow end to end (including problem discovery, research, UX design visions, and initial concepts, workflows, wireframes, low/high-fidelity UI designs, user testing, etc).
  • 2+ years of industry involvement in digital product design
  • Experience with both responsive web and mobile products
  • Good knowledge of prototyping and design tools, such as Figma or Axure, and understanding when to apply specific tools and methods
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both writing and speaking
  • Relevant studies or equivalent work experience in Design (e.g. Media Technology and Design, Digital Arts, Interactive Media), HCD, Computer Science or a related field
  • Optional: Experience in working with web-based technologies such as HTML and CSS
