Rotations

Explanation of Rotation

A rotation is a transformation that turns every point of a preimage through a specified angle and direction about a fixed point. The center of rotation in this image is Point F, which is also the origin. The preimage, Figure ABCDE, becomes Figure A'B'C'D'E' after a 90° rotation counterclockwise around the origin. Each vertex on the preimage creates a 90° angle with its corresponding vertex on the new image. Also, Figure ABCDE becomes Figure A'"B''C''D''E'' after a 180° degree rotation counterclockwise around the origin. Each vertex on the preimage creates a 180° angle with its corresponding vertex on the new image.
