Ground Fault Over-Voltage (GFOV) Simulator
- The subscript letters D, L, and S refer to DER, Load, and System (utility), respectively.
- The numbers 0, 1, and 2 refer to zero, positive, and negative sequence values, respectively.
- The subscript F refers to the fault values.
- The magnitude and phase angle of the utility voltage source, the DER current source, and the impedances can be changes using the sliders. Use left and right arrow keys for tighter control of the values.
- Toggling "XOn" sliders for ID1, VS1, pr Zf multiplies the value by either 0 (off) or 1 (on).
- Toggling "XOn" sliders for all other impedances adds either 1000 (off) or 0 (on).
- Toggling the checkboxes turns the associated phasors on and off.
- The orange dashed circle represents the TOV limit. It is equal to 0.8 x √3.
- To simplify the tool options, ZL2 = ZL1, and ZS2 = ZS1.
- ZL0 is grounded load.
- ZD0 is associated with the grounding transformer of the DER.
- Equations and logic buried in the "Algebra" menu on the left.
