Simple Shear Fault Bend Folding
- Andreas Plesch
Simple Shear Fault Bend Fold after Suppe et al. (2004)
Define a fold shape by moving points A, B and C or the segments linking those. Observe how the fault bend changes. Similarly, observe changes linked to moving point D which define the shear angle alpha. The plot shows angular relationships of the structure. Note how the red circle follows modifications to the fold.
