# Dilations - Scale Factor

## Question 1

*Move the slider for the scale factor, k. *
**When k is LESS than 1, what do you notice? When k is GREATER than 1, what do you notice?**

## Question 2

*Move point B to (2, 0) and adjust the scale factor, k, to 0.5, 1, 2 and 3. *
**What do you notice about the scale factor and the coordinates of B'?**

## Question 3

*Leaving point A in its original position at (2, 3), move the center of dilation to (-1, 3), so that point A is 3 units RIGHT of the center of dilation. Then set the scale factor to 0.5, 1, 2 and 3.*
**How far is A' from the center of dilation for each scale factor? How does this relate to the distance from the center of dilation to point A?**
