Diameter and Chord

  1. Point E is the midpoint of chord CD.
  2. Drag the endpoints of diameter AB so that it passes through the midpoint of chord CD (point E).
  3. Do this in a variety of ways by changing both chord CD and by moving diameter AB (use A to spin the diameter).
  4. What do you notice when the diameter of the circle goes through the midpoint of a chord?
