Task 4: Abdel, Blanca and Conrad are in the marked points of the park. They want to find a place that is at the same distance from all of them. Once you have found it with GeoGebra (tarea4.ggb), copy the construction in the sheet, clearly marking the point where they will meet.
a) How many lines have you used to find that point? How are they called?
b) Could you have determined the same point with less lines?
c) Could you have determined the same point with more lines?
How to draw a circle through three points:
1º Choose the option “Intersect”, and then click on two perpendicular bisectors to define their intersection point.
2º Choose the option Circunference given its center and a point.
3º Click on the CIRCUMCENTER (point that is at the same distance from the three friends).
4º Click on one of the friends.
The point that is at the same distance from the three friends is called circumcenter, and we can draw a circle (called circumscribed circle) centered at it that passes through the three original points.
