Farmer Dan's shed

Make a rectangular prism using cube layers - Farmer Dan's shed

Using Farmer Dan's shed as an example, move the sliders to reflect the dimensions. First of all leave C, the height, at '1'. Move A to '5' and B to '4' so that you have a layer of 20 cubes. Then increase C to reflect the height of his shed. Can you see how the volume (the space taken up) =  the amount of cubes in one layer x the number of layers? Feel free to experiment with different dimensions. Is there another way that you can have 20 cubes in one layer? How would this change the design and look of the shed? Remember that what you are doing is a pictorial representation of volume as it is in reality! A = length B = width C = height
