Exploring Y-Intercept & Slope

The slope from of a linear equation is "y=mx+b" - "m" is the slope of the line. - "b" is the y-intercept, where the line crosses the y-axis. Within this lesson we will visualize how m & b manipulate the line within a graph.

Mess around with the sliders, what do you notice, what do you wonder?

Explain what happens when you set slider "m" at zero?

If you were to set the "m" to a negative, what happens and why?

Explain what happens when you shift "b".

Looking at the graph above, determine the slope-intercept and y-intercept and set them together as a linear equation.
