Incenter of a Triangle
- I started by creating a triangle.
- I then used the angle bisector tool to bisect each vertex.
- The incenter was found by finding the intersection of the three angle bisectors and is labeled as Incenter = (5.34, 2.16) in red.
- I then created perpendicular lines from each edge of the triangle to the incenter and used the intersect tool to find the point at which the perpendicular line intersected with each edge.
- I created a segment from each point on the edge to the incenter (these are in pink) and used the value tool to verify that the distance between each side of the triangle and the incenter is the same.
- Finally, I used the circle with a center and a point to create an inscribed circle within the triangle which has the center at the incenter and the radius the distance from the incenter to the edge of the triangle.
