Sell That House Applet
Sell That House Zillow® is a realty company that hires photographers to help sell houses. Once a house goes up for sale, they use Google Streetview photos until they can take higher quality photos. The Google Streetview photo uses a 35º telephoto lens to capture the whole house in one frame. Zillow’s photographer then goes to the house to update the photo using a 70° lens. From what location(s) could they photograph the house with the 70º lens, so that the entire house still fills the width of the picture? Explain your decisions mathematically.
Some things to think about: What happens to the photographer’s location if the lens angle is wider? How many possible places could Google have taken the 35º photo? From what location(s) could a photographer with a 90º lens stand? What about 180º?
