This applet allows you to explore fractions with denominators 2, 4, 5, 10, 20 and 25 with equivalent fractions with denominator 100.
1) Click on the required checkbox
Example:
2 parts for fractions with denominator 2
4 parts for fractions with denominator 4
…
2) Move the width and length buttons to obtain the number of shaded parts in Figure 2
3) Use the MOVE button on top to move Figure 2 to overlap with Figure 1 to make any comparison needed
