DIVISIBILITY RULES

Divisibility | Mathematics Grade 5 | Periwinkle: This video explains divisibility rules for numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 15, with examples.
Divisibility rules song: This video uses a song to teach divisibility rules.
  • Divisibility by 1: Any whole number is divisible by 1.
  • Divisibility by 2: A number is divisible by 2 if it's even.
  • Divisibility by 3: Add its digits to check for divisibility by 3.
  • Divisibility by 4: A number is divisible by 4 if its last two digits are a multiple of four.
  • Divisibility by 5: A number is divisible by 5 if it ends with a 5 or a 0.
  • Divisibility by 6: If a number is divisible by both 2 and 3, it is also divisible by 6.
  • Divisibility by 9: Add the digits of the number to check for divisibility by 9.
  • Divisibility by 10: A number is divisible by 10 if it ends with a zero.
