## Graphs of Linear Equations in Two Unknowns

Although the students have been exposed to the binary linear equations in the junior high school stage, according to experience, many students are confused about the straight line image of the equation. This courseware aims to revisit the image of the binary linear equation, and prepares for learning to find the equation from the straight line image. There are several "regulations" about coordinates in the courseware. Teachers can ask students to find the coordinates of a point that meets a certain requirement as much as possible, and record them on graph paper. Teachers can choose different styles of graph paper according to students' abilities. It should be easy for students to find that there are an infinite number of points that meet the same requirements and lie on the same straight line. Teachers can guide students to express relevant regulations in algebraic form, and appreciate the combination of geometry and algebra. The design concept of this courseware originated from the course directors whom the project leader met during the secondment of the curriculum development group of the middle school of the Education Bureau . Thank you very much.
