Translations

A figure that moves as a vector with the same distance as vector. The polygon ABCDMNOP is moved up 10 unites and left 10 units. Its written as T<-10,10>. Not all translations are on a graph if they are not on a graph they must use a vector to move the image to become the pre-image. The vector would be 10 unites long and slanted to the left. The new points would be at the end of all of the vectors that would have to be measured and made for each and every point or if you are not doing this on a grid you have too draw arches with a compass and more vectors with the starting vector you drew, for every point there will be a vector for the new shape. At the end of the vectors are where the point begins.
