Today, Lizzie and Caleb said their final goodbyes before Lizzie left to catch a ship that would take her to the new place she would call home. After letting Lizzie leave him, Caleb realizes that he can't let her leave because she is his best friend. Frantically, he drives to the boating dock to try and catch the boat. Fortunately, he manages to get on a boat, but not the boat Lizzie is on. Lizzie's boat is 10 miles away from the boating dock. Now, Caleb is heading North at 26mph while Lizzie is heading East at 22mph. a) How fast is their distance changing after 1/2 hour? b) How fast is their distance changing after 1 hour?
