Two periodic motions are propagated at right angles to each other. What is the resultant motion?
One approach is to describe the motion with two circles, on for each function, mark them for equal intervals of time, and project the motions in perpendicular directions. The intersections of equal time divisions trace the motion of a particle at the source. The resulting motion is called a Lissajou. There are more elegant solutions.... On to the next worksheet.
