Stretcher/Shrinker Tool
This file shows how multiplication as scaling works.
Stretch or shrink (scale) the original green frog by dragging the mulitplier, or scale factor, S.
Change the height of the original green frog by dragging the height, H.
The height of the new red frog is S x H.

To get specific numbers for the height or scale factor, type in the input bar at the bottom of the screen. Examples: Height 1/2:
Scale factor -2.3:
Questions for experimentation:
What happens when you switch the values of scale factor and height? For example, switch H=2 and S=3 to H=3 and S = 2.
What happens when the scale factor is between 0 and 1?
What happens when one of the factors (scale factor or height) is negative?
What happens when both of the factors are negative?
