Remedial Activity Quarter 1 Math 9 Compassionate

Apply your learning to real-life situations. You will be given a practical task which will demonstrate your understanding of the graphs of quadratic functions.

These are the list of Students who will take this "Remedial Activity" in Math 9 Compassionate: BOYS: 1. Cuico, Hendrix Kyle 2. Dagasdas, Jayson 3. Longakit, John LLoyd GIRLS: 1. Acaylar, Mary Kezie Note: If your name is not listed above, you are exempted from this "Remedial Activity". You don't need to take this Remedial Activity if your name is not listed above.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Instructions: Using "Geogebra Calculator" graph the given "Quadratic Equation", Using the command "Extremum(<equation>)" in finding the maximum height(y) and the time(x) the stone reached to its maximum height, let y be the height and let x be the time. Your Graph should look the same as the image below using the "Geogebra Calculator".

Remedial Activity: Solve the following problem.

The path when a stone is thrown can be modelled by y = -16x2 + 10x + 4, where y (in feet) is the height of the stone x seconds after it is released. a. Graph the function b. Determine the maximum height reached by the stone. c. How long will it take the stone to reach its maximum height?
