A particle moves along a straight line and passes through a fixed point O. Its velocity, v ms-1 ,is given by , where t is the time in seconds after passing through O. Suatu zarah bergerak di sepanjang suatu garis lurus dan melalui satu titik tetap O. Halajunya, v ms–1, diberi oleh v = t2 – 8t + 7, dengan keadaan t ialah masa dalam saat selepas melalui O.

(a) Find the instantaneous velocity, in ms-1, of the particle when (a) Cari halaju seketika, dalam ms–1, zarah itu apabila t = 3.

(b) Calculate the values of t, in seconds, when the particle stops instanteneously. (b) Hitung nilai-nilai t, dalam saat, apabila zarah itu berhenti seketika.

(c) Determine the range of values of t, in seconds, when the paticle moves to the left. (c) Tentukan julat nilai t, dalam saat, apabila zarah bergerak ke kiri.
