## Construct a Perpendicular Bisector

Construct the Perpendicular Bisector of the Segment AB. Use the compass tool(), but remember, you need to set the distance for each circle you make the same so it is easier to use the segment AB as your length. (watch the video to see how to do this)
Use the intersect tool() to mark both intersections and then construct the line between them.

**Part 2**
Use the Intersect tool to mark the point where your perpendicular bisector intersects segment AB.
Use the Text Tool to name show the label of that point. (you can rename it by right clicking on it and clicking rename)
What is this point called?

**Part 3**Use the Measuring Tool to measure the distance from A and B to the intersection point. Is it always exactly in the middle of AB? Use the Angle Measuring Tool to measure one of the 4 angles you created, is your line always perpendicular to segment AB?

**Part 4**Use the point tool to place a point on the perpendicular bisector of AB (I have hidden the circles to make it easier to work with) Use the tool to Show it's label, then right click to rename it P. (click and hold on phone/tablet) Create segments AP and BP using the segment tool . Measure AP and BP using the tool.What do you notice about AP and BP? Move A and B around to verify this is always true.
