Simple SIR model implemented to demonstrate "flattening the curve" (the brown curve here) by reducing transmission rate and use of mathematical models in the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak.

This model has been extended by epidemiologists, who have matched data from around the globe to continually refine their models. The following is an example of such an improved model:
