A Mathematical View over Cut Palm Hearts
This paper (in Portuguese) discusses some different possible approaches to a geometric modeling proposal can present as developments in a math class. Elementary concepts of similar triangles with the refinement of integration presents a construction developed with GeoGebra software, from which it allows also the operating parameter curves and strategies of the ellipse through the study of its elements basic and properties that characterize it. The main motivation for the work was given by the author's teacher curious to unravel what the curve delimiting the flat region of the lateral surface of a cylinder when it is cut by a non-parallel to the baseline. In order to answer the research question and clarify the reading, are presented throughout the text, some images of the developed objects, which is believed to be able to be worked with the most different audiences.

Um Olhar Matemático sobre Palmitos Cortados
O presente trabalho procura discutir algumas diferentes possibilidades de abordagens que uma proposta de modelagem geométrica pode apresentar como desdobramentos em uma aula de matemática. De conceitos elementares de semelhança de triângulos ao requinte da integração, apresenta-se uma construção desenvolvida com o software GeoGebra de parametrização de curvas e o estudo da elipse através de seus elementos básicos e propriedades que a caracterizam. A motivação maior para o trabalho deu-se pela curiosidade do professor autor em desvendar qual seria a curva que delimita a região plana da superfície lateral de um cilindro, quando este é seccionado por um plano não paralelo à base. A fim de responder à questão norteadora, bem como tornar mais clara a leitura, são apresentadas, ao longo do texto, algumas imagens dos objetos desenvolvidos, os quais acredita-se poderem ser trabalhados com os mais diferentes públicos.
