PRE-HEALTH: Center of Rotation Animation

Instructions

This simulation shows the steps involved in locating the center of rotation (CoR) during tooth movement. The two images of teeth in the simulation show the initial (AB) and final position (A’B’) of a tooth. Clicking "animation" will show how the tooth rotates from the unprimed to primed positions about the CoR. Select the initial and final locations of the tooth by dragging the points A and B and A' and B', for the initial and final positions, respectively. Click the "show steps" button to learn how the location of the CoR is determined. There are five steps involved; you need to click the "show steps" button five times to watch the entire procedure. Click the “reset” button to clear the solutions and restart.
