Solution of algebraic and trancendental equation

Algebraic and trancendental equation

If f(x) is a polynomial function, then the equation is called an algebraic equation. Equations which involve transcendental functions like sin x, cos x, tan x, log x, ex etc. are called transcendental equations. If is a polynomial of higher degree or an expression involving transcendental functions we have no simple formula to find the roots.
