Grading Policy from the Syllabus
Your grade will be computed based on the following ingredients.
• Three exams (65%)
• Class participation (22% total: 15% for homework and 7% for the rest)
o Homework and preparedness for class
o Presentations
o In-class participation
o Helpful and reliable group member
o Attendance
o Math chats
• Textbook (13%)
Note: The two lowest homework grades will be dropped.
Final grades will be computed using the following chart.
A: 93% & above
A-: 90%–92.99%
B+: 86.67%–89.99%
B: 83.33%–86.66%
B-: 80%–83.32%
C+: 76.67%–79.99%
C: 73.33%–76.66%
C-: 70%–73.32%
D+: 66.67%–69.99%
D: 63.33%–67.66%
D-: 60%–63.32%
F: 59.99% and below
