Is It Proportional?

Does the table represent a proportional relationship? (Or, do the ratios covary / change together?) A table shows a proportion if:
  1. There is a common factor that relates the x value with the y value (in other words, if x doubles, then y also doubles).
  2. The points form a straight line when graphed.
  3. The line goes through the origin (0, 0) on the graph.
Look at the values in the table. Do the they form a proportion? Check yes or no. If you need a hint, use the "Hide/Show the line" checkbox. This applet was inspired by Angela Herndon http://www.geogebratube.org/user/profile/id/12746
