What is coordinates?
Coordinates are a pair of numbers that show the exact position of a point on a map or graph.
- The origin is the starting point, which is (0,0).
- The distance along the y-axis is the vertical distance.
- The distance along the x-axis is the horizontal distance.

- The horizontal distance of the parrot from the ticket counter is 4 units.
- The vertical distance from the ticket counter to the jetty is 5 units.
- The horizontal distance from the origin to the lion is 5 units, and the vertical distance is 3 units.
