South Korea's Incheon casino plan, which was the Chinese partner of U.S.-based game brand Caesars, only delayed the opening of the first phase by one year, and did not demand a three-year delay.
On Thursday morning, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea approached it by phone through the GGRA.
A ministry spokesman did not give GGRAsia any reason by limiting the postponement to one year. According to information previously provided to GGRAsia, the first phase of the plan (pictured with an artist's rendering) was scheduled to take place on Wednesday (March 17).
As well as being allowed a one-year delay, the ministry also approved the acquisition of Hong Kong-listed Guangzhou R&F Properties Limited, a Chinese investor in a stake in the scheme previously held by U.S. casino brand Caesars Entertainment. The development was tagged "Cesars Korea Resort Complex."
The plan, also called the Midan City Resort Complex, is currently being pursued by a company called R&F Korea (RFKR). 토토사이트
According to previous information delivered to GGRAsia from an official at the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZA), the ministry requires RFKR agents to find new partners for the venture, partners with experience in casino operations.
