Mapping Diagram (Real) from Function Table Activity

A mapping diagram for a real function visualizes a function table with domain elements as points on a source axis, values of the function on a target axis and an arrow from each domain element (point) to the corresponding target element (point). Below is an example activity for a real mapping diagram and the traditional cartesian graph. Choosing "Adjustable Arrows/Points" allows the user to move the mapping diagram arrows to match the table. The user can choose a function from the list or define their own function to become more familiar with this visualization. The length of the domain interval and the number of data points are controlled by the two sliders, "length" and "n".
